Get In touch With us for the FCL services

FCL stands for the Full Container Load, an ocean shipping option that uses the whole container designed to be used by one company and takes up an entire consignment, whatever size the cargo has. FCL transportation is delivered directly to the supplier's warehouse and transported into the container yard or container cargo station at the ports. The container may be removed from the point of the destination. Or the carrier could deliver the container to the warehouse of the recipient.

What Is The Difference Between Container Transport And Bulk Carriage?

The majority of the things in our daily lives that we consume, wear, and utilize are transported via shipping by sea. Since the 1950s, the container shipping industry has gained popularity with shippers because of its efficiency and standardization. Container transportation permits the continuous cargo shipment from the consignor's location to the consignee's (An entity or person who is financially liable for the permit of a load), thus reducing the number of intermediate transshipment processes.

What Are The Benefits Of FCL Over Other Kinds of Shippings?

It is beneficial to utilize sea containers to transport items for various reasons. Here are they:

  • There are more possibilities to automatize the management of the cargo transport processes.
  • There is no reason to overload the cargo when switching the method of transportation.
  • The items will be packed into the container by delivery and unloaded at the recipient's warehouse.
  • The speed of unloading and loading is increasing
  • Reduces packaging costs for the products
  • Forwarding and transport documentation have been streamlined and unified
  • Goods are stored well
  • Facilitated the shipping of goods to the warehouse of the receiver
  • In the end, delivery times are cut down.

Transport of general cargoes

In the case of large quantities of goods, it's better to utilize containers of a specific size instead of bringing cargo aboard the vessel. Before containerization, all general loads were carried by ship separately. The loading and unloading process for available shipments was time-consuming and labor intensive. Since the advent of containers, transporting these goods was greatly improved.

Transport of non-standard cargoes

If you are transporting a condensed cargo, you don't have to think about returning your container once you have completed it has been delivered. Since your shipment is inside the container, the goods from other shipping companies are carried and returned to the container can be a challenge for the container line. The LCL shippers have to focus on the cargo that will be moved and less about nothing.

It is worth noting that hazardous goods are not permitted to be transported in condensed goods, such as IMO classification and having a UN number, explosive, flammable, combustible radioactive, volatile, and more.
